Sweden’s royal family was out in full force to celebrate Crown Princess Victoria’s 40th birthday on Friday, July 14. The day kicked off with a Te Deum thanksgiving service at the palace's royal chapel in Stockholm. Victoria looked chic for her special day wearing a white dress by Swedish designer Pär Engsheden that featured butterfly embellishments. The royal’s five-year-old daughter, Princess Estelle, coordinated with her mother wearing butterfly clips in her hair. Prince Daniel proudly stood beside his wife as Victoria held on to their one-year-old son Prince Oscar.

The birthday girl’s parents — King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia — and her younger siblings, along with her adorable nieces and nephews were also on hand for the festivities. Victoria’s sister Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill along with their children — Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas — traveled from London to Sweden for the occasion. The couple's three-year-old daughter was pictured adorably frolicking in the palace's courtyard.

Victoria delivered a speech to well-wishers on her milestone birthday saying, “It warms [me] to see friends and familiar faces here today. I want to thank you for being here.” The royal also thanked the Swedish people for gifting her with a spice rack.
After the morning thanksgiving and reception at Logården, a gun salute was fired at noon followed by a carriage ride around Stockholm. Prince Daniel snapped a personal photo of his wife and children sitting in the open carriage. Celebrations for Victoria’s birthday will continue through Saturday. The royal family are set to travel to Öland where Solliden Palace will open its gates to the public on July 15.
