Bradley Cooper sat down for his first interview since welcoming daughter Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper with his longtime love Irina Shayk earlier this year. The new dad looked well-rested as chatted with Ellen DeGeneres on her talkshow on Friday, May 5. "I don't know if you know this but you have a baby. Just gonna let you know you have a baby,” the host quipped to the Hollywood star, to which the new dad jokingly replied, “What!”

The Guardians of the Galaxy actor remained tight-lipped about his baby girl and instead chatted about his upcoming new film A Star Is Born, in which he stars opposite of Lady Gaga. Bradley praised his co-star calling the Born This Way singer "incredible" and admitted that singing is “so hard.” “I would get fatigued at the end of even a phrase,” the 42-year-old confessed. “I’ve really been awakened to the phenomena of singing. I just hope I just can be believable enough so that you can watch Stefani, that's her name, Gaga, just shine. Because she's incredible.”

Though Bradley did not mention his daughter during the interview, that didn’t stop Ellen from bringing up actor's new role as a father one more time. "I know you don't want to talk about the baby. I just want to say that I knew you would be a good father when I saw you in American Sniper," she said, before showing a clip of Bradley cradling a fake baby from his 2014 action film, American Sniper.

Irina gave birth to her and Bradley’s first child back in March. Less than a month after her daughter’s birth, the 31-year-old supermodel flaunted her post-baby body on Instagram wearing a black bikini. The Russian beauty opened up to HOLA! USA last year about her desire to start a family saying, “I think family is our reason for being.” And while Irina noted that there is no right time to have kids, she admitted that she needed the "perfect" partner to start a family. Irina said at the time, "I don't think there's a perfect time to have kids. I think first you have to find the perfect person.”
