Queen Consort Camilla's first husband, Andrew, once dated Princess Anne

Por hola.com

The families of Britain's King Charles and his consort, Camilla, have moved in the same social circles for decades, and Charles's relationship with Camilla is not the only romance that links them.

It's well known that Camilla's first husband was charismatic army officer Andrew Parker Bowles. Less so is the fact that one of Andrew's previous loves was King Charles's sister Princess Anne.

The pair dated for some time, beginning in June 1970, and had a lot in common, including their love of horses. However, according to reports, marriage was never on the cards, because Andrew's Catholic faith made him ineligible to marry a major British royal.

While their relationship came to an end, Anne and Andrew have always remained on excellent terms. So when Anne went on to marry another equestrian, Captain Mark Phillips, Andrew became godfather to their daughter, Zara.

It was in the same year that Anne wed Mark - 1973 - that Andrew married Camilla. And when, after 22 years, they also went their separate ways, he stayed friendly with her too. In fact, ten years after the couple split, Andrew was among the guests at Charles and Camilla's royal wedding in April 2005.
