But Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s incredible love story didn’t end there. The pair rekindled (3) their relationship in April 2021, married last July and will this summer celebrate their first anniversary. And what better way to prove their devotion than by getting matching tattoos?
In a Valentine’s Day post, the Jenny from the Block singer made a grand reveal of their body art. Hers is an arrow piercing through an infinity loop embellished with what appear to be their names; his is two intersected arrows tied together with their initials. She captioned the Instagram post “Commitment”, with an infinity emoji, adding the hashtags “CommitmentIsSexy” “ThisIsUsThen” and “ThisIsUsNow”.
Speaking to People magazine, Jennifer revealed how grateful she is to have reconciled with her soulmate (4): “When you find somebody and you really, really love them and you get a second chance at that? That is a really rare, precious, beautiful thing and we don’t take it for granted,” she said, adding: “What I teach my children is that real love exists. Some things can be forever, but it doesn’t mean they just have a straight line.”
Jen and Ben are not the only celebrity couple keen to prove their love is more than skin deep. In 2019 twelve-time Grammy winner John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen each had their partner’s name along with Luna and Miles, the names of their two children, inscribed in flowing script on their forearms.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, known for being one third of the boyband Jonas Brothers, have a sweet Toy Story inspired tattoo on their wrist. Referencing Buzz Lightyear’s catchphrase in the popular Pixar films, his says “To infinity” and hers “& beyond”.
Opting for matching tattoos seems to run in the Jonas family. Joe's brother Nick, who is married to Priyanka Chopra, has a small empty checkbox tattooed on each arm. The Miss World 2000 has the same inked behind her ears. She revealed the sentimental meaning behind these in a video chat with British Vogue earlier this year. “When he proposed, he asked me that I checked all his boxes, and would I check another one?”.
