Following the birth of their second daughter last May, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry determined to come up with a really special moniker (1). They settled on Jupiter. A source explains: "They loved the name both in terms of what it stands for (2) and its uniqueness. Everyone thinks Jupiter works perfectly for her.
"Cherry and Ed really are a match made in heaven." The proud parents announced Jupiter's birth via Instagram with an adorable photo of some tiny cotton socks.
Ed captioned the post: "Want to let you know we've had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon (3) to be a family of four."
Little Jupiter's big sister, born last year, is named Lyra. The couple dubbed (4) her a "miracle" baby owing to their numerous fertility struggles at the time. Finally, Cherry fell pregnant during a trip to Antarctica. Paying tribute to the unique circumstances, the couple decided to use Antarctica as Lyra's middle name.
Teenage sweethearts, they found romance at school in Britain before Cherry jetted off to university in America. After they had endured a long-distance relationship, she moved back to the UK in 2016 to be with Ed. In February 2019 the pair tied the knot (5) in an intimate wedding ceremony attended by close family and friends.
