Tribeca Festival 2026 is right around the corner. Scheduled to run from June 3rd through the 14th, this year's festival is filled with unmissable moments spotlighting some of the best in the entertainment industry and in New York culture.
Founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff, the festival has become one of New York's biggest and best cultural moments, introducing films, shows, video games, and all sorts of stories to the city's millions of residents. Having built a reputation over the decades, Tribeca has become a well-known force, introducing audiences to new and established talent from the city, the country, and all corners of the world. This year, there are many exciting releases, from Katie Holmes' new romance to Madonna's highly anticipated dance album. Check out some of the most exciting highlights below:
© Kevin MazurMadonna debuts her awaited record
Madonna will soon be releasing "Confessions II," the sequel to one of the best pop records of all time, "Confessions on a Dance Floor," released in 2006. The album will be accompanied by a short film lasting around 10 minutes and featuring the first six songs. Following the screening, Madonna will be joined by Jimmy Fallon for a chat, and the two will discuss the project in front of an audience. Robert DeNiro and Jane Rosenthal will also be a part of Tribeca Talks this year.
Other noteworthy Tribeca experiences include Tribeca X, which highlights brand-driven stories. This year, Brooklyn Beckham will be around to talk about his brand of hot sauces, Cloud23.
A Dawson's Creek reunion

"Happy Hours" is a romantic comedy and, most excitingly, features a reunion with her "Dawson's Creek" co-star and old boyfriend Joshua Jackson. Written and directed by Holmes, the story appears to nod at her and Jackson's shared history, following a freshly divorced photographer who randomly runs into her high school love, with the two revisiting their relationship.
Latino and Hispanic-led films
© Tribeca FestivalThis year's lineup of films is filled with Latin and Hispanic talent. Spanish director Hugo Ruiz is returning to Tribeca. Following his 2023 best new narrative director, Ruiz is back with "Dante," starring Ester Exposito and Chino Darin. There are also plenty of Latin stars taking over the festival, including Oscar Isaac, who plays the mythical Dante Alighieri in "In the Hand of Dante." There's also "Killing Castro," a political thriller exploring Castro's storied visit to the US in the '60s, with Diego Boneta playing the lead role and the cast rounded out by Xolo Mariduena and Al Pacino. Another exciting entry is "Next Life," a drama led by Edgar Ramirez and Emilia Clarke that follows two timelines and endless romantic possibilities.
There are also some exciting international releases, including "Funk," a film exploring the world of Brazilian funk music, "Summer War" and "Mexicanamerican," a narrative and a documentary related to the aftermath of the Pinochet regime. There are two coming-of-age dramas, "Summer of Three," following a teen returning to his hometown of Puerto Rico after years away, and "Sad Girlz," a Mexican film that follows two best friends and their opposite reactions when faced with a violent incident at a party.
