Prince Harry is planning on visiting home more frequently in the near future. The youngest son of King Charles had an emotional reunion with his father earlier this year, marking the first time in years that the King had seen his son and grandchildren. It seems like the meeting might have gone well, with reports claiming Harry is planning to visit the UK more frequently in the coming months.
As reported by The Times, Prince Harry will be visiting the UK “every few months.” His next trip there will take place in September, when he'll be there for around a week supporting different outings for WellChild, the charity supporting kids, of which he is a patron. He'll also be supporting the Invictus Games.
For the time being, it's unknown if Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, will be joining him.
As reported by the outlet, it's believed Harry wants to spend more time in the UK for numerous reasons. First, he wants to see his family more often, and secondly, he wants to support his UK-based charities and patronages more closely.
“The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus which he’s determined to make the best games yet. So he’ll be coming back and forth a lot more, every few months," said a source close to Harry.
“The way the wind is blowing, he’s going to want to be here more and more."
Harry's emotional reunion with his father
Over the summer, Prince Harry, Meghan, and their kids had a much-anticipated reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla. The group met up in Highgrove, Charles' home in Gloucestershire, for a meeting that was heavily guarded from the media.
It marked the first time the King had seen his grandkids in four years, and the first time Meghan stayed in the UK since Queen Elizabeth's funeral in 2022. While no photos or statements were shared, The Times claims Harry felt “buoyed, very happy and really energised” after the gathering.
Afterwards, the Sussexes spent time at Althorp, Princess Diana's childhood home. The family spent time with Harry's uncle, Earl Spencer, and spent some emotional days where the Princess is buried, with Meghan sharing photos of some key destinations in the home. One of the photos showed Harry and Archie holding on to some flowers. The images provided no comment, but the public expects the group visited Diana's grave.
