Meghan Markle brought out some of her family's most treasured jewelry for a special occasion. Last Friday, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, attended the David Foster Foundation 40th Anniversary Celebration in Canada. She wore some of Princess Diana's most memorable jewelry for the occasion.
© The David Foster Foundation viaFor the rare night out, Meghan and Harry wore coordinated black looks. While Harry opted for a traditional tux with a white button-up and a bow tie. In the case of Meghan, she wore a one-shoulder black gown with a column silhouette and her hair in an elegant updo.
But the star of the look was the jewelry. Meghan wore a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings that belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. She completed the look with a gold bracelet and a ring.

GoffAside from allowing the couple to dress up for an elegant date night out, the gala celebrated the 40th anniversary of the David Foster Foundation, which has raised money over the years to support families in Canada with kids in need of organ transplants. The couple took photos alongside Foster and his wife, the American actress Katherine McPhee.
McPhee and Meghan have been friends for years. In an Instagram post made a few years ago, showing them as teenagers. McPhee revealed that the two used to do musicals together. “She grew up to be the Duchess of Sussex and I grew up to star on the West End, so same life if you ask me,” she wrote.

The selfie showed the two smiling for the camera, happily pressed against each other. The video showed the two walking amidst a group of musicians, holding bagpipes and drums. "My husband loves bagpipes," says Markle to the band members.
"This is great," replies Harry, who holds on to their hand as they greet members of the band and walk inside the gala.
The couple is coming off a busy couple of weeks where they traveled through Europe, visiting Portugal and Princess Diana's childhood home, Althorp House. Earlier this month, Meghan celebrated her 45th birthday.
