The post was shared earlier today and contains new photos of Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's newborn baby girl. The photos show the baby girl taking a nap, with another image showing the parents holding on to her little hand. The last image show the girl flanked by her big brothers, August Philip Hawke, 5, and Ernest George Ronnie, 3.

"2 weeks ago today we welcomed our girl to the world. And since then we've had the most special, cosy and love-filled time," Eugenie captioned the post.

"We are so happy to share Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank."

"Named after three people we love and admire past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts. Her name is part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home.

Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers."

Adelaide was born in Lisbon, marking the couple's first child to be born outside the UK. She enters a long list of her family members who have been named in reference to the late Queen, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter, Lilibet, who was named after the Queen's childhood nickname.

According to the royal reporter Rebecca English, Adelaide's name was partly inspired by Maria Adelaide, a Portuguese woman considered an honorary saint. She also said that the name Annina comes from a personal connection to the couple.

Earlier this month, the British Royal House shared the happy news with their followers.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6:20 pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces.”

“Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news,” reads the statement.

The baby joins the line of succession to the British throne. Princess Eugenie is 12th in line, followed by her three kids. Adelaide is 15th in the line of succession.
