Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have welcomed their first daughter, but there's still one major detail they haven't shared.
The couple announced the arrival of "Baby Girl Brooksbank" on August 4, one day after she was born at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. Eugenie also gave royal fans their first glimpse of the newborn, sharing a sweet photo of her daughter dressed in pink.

While Eugenie and Jack have not offered any clues about what they have chosen to call their daughter, their family history provides plenty of inspiration.

From a name closely connected to Prince Philip to one Eugenie carries herself, here are three possible contenders with particularly meaningful royal ties.
Alice
Alice would provide a subtle connection to Eugenie's late grandfather, Prince Philip.

The name reaches even further back into British royal history. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert named their third child Princess Alice, making it a name that connects multiple generations of Eugenie's family.

Choosing Alice could therefore continue Eugenie and Jack's pattern of looking to previous generations for inspiration while giving their daughter a distinctly historic royal name.
Victoria
Victoria may be an even more personal possibility because Eugenie already carries the historic royal name herself.
