Princess Eugenie is officially a mom of three! The 36-year-old royal and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have welcomed their third child together, a baby girl, expanding their family after the births of sons August and Ernest.
The happy news was officially announced on Tuesday, August 4, one day after Eugenie gave birth to her daughter at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The Royal Family confirmed the arrival in a statement shared on its official website.
"Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal," the announcement read.
The baby weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces at birth. "Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news," the official statement added.
Eugenie also celebrated the arrival on Instagram, sharing the first adorable photo of her daughter with her followers.
In the sweet image, the newborn is seen lying on a hospital bed dressed in a pale pink knitted onesie and a white hat decorated with delicate colorful prints. Her tiny hand appears to hold onto an adult's finger as she rests beside them.
"Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie," Eugenie wrote alongside a string of pink heart emojis.
For now, one major detail remains a mystery. Eugenie and Jack have not publicly revealed their daughter's name.
August and Ernest become big brothers:
The newest member of the Brooksbank family joins Eugenie and Jack's two sons, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, 5, and Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, 3.
Eugenie announced that she was expecting her third child in May, sharing a photo of August and Ernest holding an ultrasound image. "Baby Brooksbank due 2026!" she wrote at the time.
Buckingham Palace separately confirmed the pregnancy in May, announcing that Eugenie and Jack were expecting their third child together that summer.
The arrival marks a special milestone for the couple, who are now parents to their first daughter after welcoming two boys.
A royal baby born in Portugal:
Unlike her older brothers, Eugenie's daughter was born outside the United Kingdom.
August was born in London in February 2021, while Ernest arrived in May 2023. Their little sister was born at a hospital in Lisbon, where Eugenie and Jack have spent part of their time in recent years.
The couple married at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on October 12, 2018. Their newborn daughter is the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
She is also now 15th in the line of succession to the British throne, following her mother and older brothers. The baby girl is another granddaughter for Eugenie's mother, Sarah Ferguson, joining Princess Beatrice's daughters, Sienna and Athena.
With the first photo now shared with the world, royal watchers are waiting for Eugenie and Jack to reveal one final detail, Baby Girl Brooksbank's name.
