Beyoncé is sharing a rare family update. The private musician has shared an update of her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, as the two support Jay-Z's ongoing 30 Tour.
Shared on her website, the photos show Blue Ivy wearing shorts and a striped jersey that she paired with brown Timberland boots and some stylish glasses. She completed the look with some makeup on and her hair styled in curls.
The two were joined by Tina Knowles, with the three of them dressed up for the occasion. While Blue has been featured on both of her parents' tours, on that occasion, she was there as an observer, watching her dad perform.
Another photo from a separate tour stop showed the three women holding hands backstage.
Blue's artistic talents
Over the past year, Jay-Z has been touring across the country, with Blue joining him onstage on special occasions. She's joined him for some songs, playing the piano as he sings.
“Blue is a crazy pianist, but she won’t let us get her a teacher," Jay-Z told GQ earlier this year. "She doesn’t want it to be a job. But she has perfect pitch. If she hears a song, she’ll be like ‘Play it again,’ and then she’ll teach herself."
Jay-Z revealed that while she's worked hard to improve her dancing, she was born with that ear. "That’s just talent, she doesn’t work at that. She worked at this [being a dancer on Beyoncé’s tours], and it makes me proud that she fought for something that she really wanted to do. I don’t think we’re going to be able to get her off that stage now," he concluded.
Beyoncé is just as supportive of Blue's musical skills, encouraging her to join her onstage and to practice different forms of being creative: “Blue is an artist,” Beyoncé told GQ in 2024. “She has great taste in music and fashion. She is a fantastic editor, painter, and actress. She has been creating characters since she was 3.
"She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage [dancing during my tours]. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.”
