Kim Kardashian’s daughter, Chicago West, has a new furry best friend, and the adorable pup comes courtesy of her mom’s boyfriend, Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
The 8-year-old melted hearts in a sweet photo shared by Kardashian, 46, on Instagram on Tuesday, October 27, showing her enjoying a precious moment with the family’s golden retriever, Halo.
In the candid snapshot, Chicago wore a cozy pink hoodie as she leaned toward the dog with puckered lips, seemingly hoping for a kiss. Halo appeared equally excited about the interaction, sticking out its tongue as Chicago gently petted the pup.
Kardashian included the adorable picture in a collection of family moments, simply captioning the Instagram carousel, “a little bit of life.”
The sweet moment comes just days after Hamilton, 41, revealed that he gifted Halo to Kardashian’s four children earlier this year.
Lewis Hamilton Reveals He Gifted Kim Kardashian’s Kids a Puppy
Hamilton, who has been romantically linked to the SKIMS founder since February 2026, made the heartwarming revelation during a press appearance ahead of the United States Formula 1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, on October 24.
When asked what brings him happiness outside of racing, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion didn't hesitate to mention the children in his life. “My niece and nephew always gave me a lot of happiness,” Hamilton said, before turning his attention to Kardashian’s family. “My girlfriend’s kids, I love spending time with them,” he continued.
Hamilton also revealed that he was responsible for bringing the family's newest four-legged member into their lives. “I got them a dog this year, so little Halo is a new member of that family,” he shared.
Kardashian shares Chicago and her three siblings, North, 13, Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, with her ex-husband, rapper Kanye West.
Chicago West and Halo Have Already Shared Several Family Moments
Although Hamilton only recently confirmed that he purchased the puppy for Kardashian’s children, Halo has already made several appearances on the couple’s social media accounts. Kardashian first introduced fans to the golden retriever during a family vacation over the summer.
On July 30, the reality television personality shared pictures from a lakeside getaway, including an adorable photograph of herself cuddling the puppy. “Lakemaxxing,” she captioned the post.
Hamilton also featured Halo in a September 22 Instagram update. One picture showed the playful dog standing with both front paws resting on a gate.
Lewis Hamilton Opens Up About His Bond With Kim Kardashian’s Children
Hamilton's puppy gift isn't the only sign that he has been spending quality time with Kardashian's children. The couple has shared glimpses of their family outings throughout 2026, including a Fourth of July lakeside vacation.
During the summer getaway, Kardashian posted pictures featuring Hamilton alongside Chicago and some of her siblings.
In one photograph, Kardashian, Hamilton and Chicago posed together for a close-up selfie. Another picture showed the racing champion and Kardashian wearing coordinating racing outfits alongside three of her children. Hamilton later shared a family photograph featuring Kardashian, Chicago and Psalm, adding the caption, “Hold your people close.”
A source previously told PEOPLE that Kardashian is particularly careful about the people she introduces to her children. “Kim’s very selective when it comes to the people she allows around her kids,” the insider said in June.
The source also explained that Kardashian's decision to include Hamilton in family activities reflected the level of trust she had developed in their relationship.
Lewis Hamilton’s Puppy Gift Comes After the Loss of His Dog Roscoe
Halo’s arrival also carries personal significance for Hamilton, who experienced the heartbreaking loss of his beloved English bulldog, Roscoe, in September 2025.
The Formula 1 driver frequently shared pictures of Roscoe on social media and openly discussed the special bond they shared.
In September 2026, Hamilton marked the first anniversary of his pet's death with an emotional tribute. “Being without my best friend has been hard, and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t wish he was with me,” he wrote.
Hamilton previously described Roscoe as a “beautiful soul, an angel and true friend.”
