Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their kids are embracing a fresh start. After spending six years in California and forming a life in Montecito, the couple has moved back to the United Kingdom, with Prince Harry hoping to reconnect with his roots as his kids, Archie and Lilibet, continue to grow.

The family arrived in the UK on August 26th by private jet, having no visible police protection.

According to the source, while Markle has been rumored to be working on rebooting her acting career, her primary concern is her children and their adaptation to their new home.  “In the very short term, it’s settling the kids in and settling themselves in—very normal stuff,” said an insider to The Daily TelegraphArchie was born in the UK, but moved out of the country before turning one, while Lilibet was born in the US. They'll be starting school in September.

The source claims that Markle will continue to run her As Ever business from the UK, while making frequent trips to California for work engagements.

In the case of Harry, it seems like he'll be starting work right away, with him having a week of appearances in September related to his partnership with the WellChild Awards. He'll also be participating on the Invictus Games.

Meghan and Harry's return to the UK had been in the works for some time

Meghan and Harry's return to the UK came as a great surprise for the world, but, according to insiders, it had been in discussion for some time in between the couple.

A confidant of the couple spoke to The Daily Telegraph and said that the move was “something they’ve talked about as a couple for a while."

“It required a number of puzzle pieces to fall in place at the right time, and some of those puzzle pieces fell into place [only] fairly recently. You don’t just move countries on a whim.”

It's unknown how long the couple plans to stay in the UK, but they won't be in the UK as working royals. It's not expected for them to have any official appearances at the palace. It's expected that Harry and Meghan will spend some time with the King in his waning years.
