Las Azules (HBO Max)

The second season of "Las Azules" is now streaming on HBO Max, following the first women who served as members of the police force in '70s Mexico City. Throughout the season, the series explores one of the darkest chapters of Mexico's history: the student massacre known as El Halconazo. 

Lanterns (HBO Max)

The DCU has its latest superhero series. "Lanterns" stars Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre as fellow Lanterns, with the former training the latter and the two developing a thorny relationship. The show has received rave reviews, so it's worth checking out even if you haven't read the comic books or seen the terrible Ryan Reynolds movie. 

My Brilliant Career (Netflix)

Netflix's new romantic period series "My Brilliant Career" is based on the beloved Australian novel of the same name, following a young woman who dreams of being a writer in 1890s rural Australia.

Don't Say Good Luck (Netflix)

Starring Sunny Sandler and Melanie Lynskey, "Don't Say Good Luck" follows a high school senior who gets cast in her school play while dealing with the return of her mother's cancer diagnosis. 

Girls Like Girls (Peacock)

Directed by Hayley Kiyoko and based on her hit music video, "Girls Like Girls" follows Coley, a girl who recently arrives in town and falls for the complicated popular girl. 

Camp Rock 3 (Disney+)

If you needed a hit of nostalgia this weekend, "Camp Rock 3" is now streaming on Disney+. Sadly, there's no Demi Lovato, but the Jonas Brothers are back to mentor a new batch of musically talented kids.
