Taylor Swift has visited her hairstylist. The 36-year-old singer stepped out in London on August 12 with a noticeably shorter haircut, trading the long blonde hair she has worn in recent months for a sleek, shoulder-length style. However, she kept one instantly recognizable part of her beauty look intact.

Swift was photographed leaving Annabel's, the exclusive private members' club in London, during an evening out with a friend. Her hair was worn straight and polished, making the new length particularly easy to spot.

It is a relatively simple change, but on Swift, even a few inches can feel like a full beauty reset.

Taylor Swift's New Haircut Is a Shoulder-Length Chop

The biggest difference between Taylor Swift's new haircut and her recent hairstyles is the length. In December 2025, Swift was still wearing her blonde hair long, with Vogue reporting that it fell around the middle of her back. She paired that length with thick, eyebrow-skimming bangs.

Fast-forward to August 2026, and the length is now sitting around her shoulders.

The result lands somewhere between a long bob and a classic medium-length cut. It is not an ultra-short bob or dramatic pixie transformation. Instead, Swift appears to have removed a substantial amount of length while keeping the overall shape simple and wearable.

Of course, the haircut was only part of the look.

For her London night out, Swift wore a lilac floral Delphine Mini Isabelle Dress. She completed the outfit with a crystal-embellished Christian Louboutin evening bag, Aquazzura stilettos and her trademark red lipstick.

The star wore an elegant pink and purple dress as she stepped out in public for the first time since her recent wedding to Travis Kelce.

Taylor Swift Has Experimented With Short Hair Before

Swift is hardly a stranger to shorter hairstyles.

Over the years, she has moved between curls, long waves, bangs and bobs as her music and personal style have evolved. In 2025, she even appeared with a dramatic short black flapper-style bob in imagery connected to The Life of a Showgirl, although that theatrical transformation was considerably more dramatic than her everyday blonde hairstyle.

Her latest cut is much more understated. She has retained her blonde color and bangs, making the change feel less like a costume or character and more like a genuine update to her day-to-day hairstyle.

Earlier this year, Swift also revisited another familiar beauty look. In behind-the-scenes footage from the making of "Opalite," she wore her naturally curly-looking hair with a mint-green sweater, a combination that prompted comparisons to her earlier career aesthetic.
