From the Monaco National Day Balcony to a Leading Figure in the Next Generation of Grimaldis

Ever since she was just a year and a half old, India has captured the hearts and affection of Grimaldi family followers everywhere. The young heiress was born in London on the night of April 12, 2015, just like her older brother, Alexandre.

India Casiraghi’s First Steps Into the Fashion World: Posing Alongside Her Mother

On July 2, 2017, Tatiana posed publicly for the first time with her two children to celebrate Baby Dior’s 50th anniversary and its close ties to the beloved Grace of Monaco. Alexandre, the eldest, was four years old, while India had already turned two. It marked her very first introduction to the world of fashion.

In 2019, she attended a London Fashion Week show with her mother, Tatiana, who has always had a deep passion for fashion, at one of the city’s most important style events. But her biggest step came last year, when she made her modeling debut for Muzungu Sisters, the ethical and sustainable fashion brand founded by her mother and Dana Alikhani.

In a photoshoot alongside her mother, both dressed in matching outfits, India looked completely at ease and radiant in front of the cameras. All signs point to India Casiraghi having grown up deeply connected to her mother’s creative and artistic world. Tatiana remains one of the most influential yet discreet women in European royalty. Elegance clearly runs in the family, and the resemblance to her aunt Charlotte Casiraghi and grandmother Princess Caroline of Monaco is unmistakable.

The New Generation of Grimaldis Begins to Step Into the Spotlight

India Casiraghi’s reappearance at the Monaco Formula E race once again shines a spotlight on the next generation of the Grimaldi family, which is gradually beginning to take on a more public role. Although Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo have always tried to keep their children away from the media spotlight, India’s occasional public appearances over the years have allowed people to watch her grow up and step into the public eye, always greeted with warmth and excitement.

Why Is India Casiraghi Considered the Heiress to Two Empires?

India Casiraghi is seen as the heir to two major family dynasties because of her background. On her father’s side, as the daughter of Andrea Casiraghi, she belongs to the House of Grimaldi and the Principality of Monaco. On her mother’s side, Tatiana Santo Domingo is descended from industrial magnate Julio Mario Santo Domingo, India’s maternal great grandfather, whose vast fortune helped build major business empires in brewing and media. To this day, the Santo Domingo family remains one of the most powerful and influential dynasties in Latin America.
