Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo know how to make an entrance. The famed and stylish couples stepped out at the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique with their eldest sons, Stefano, 9, and Francesco, 7. The moment was captured by photographers, showing the boys' timeless reaction to the roar of Formula 1 engines.
The Grand Prix de Monaco Historique is hosted every two years ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix. Organized by the Monaco Automobile Club, the event takes place on the same legendary circuit as the F1 races, featuring classic racing cars from across the sport's history, from pre-war models to 1980s F1 cars.
It's one of the world's most interesting racing events, allowing guests to travel back in time as they witness vehicles across decades being piloted by some of the world's most talented race car drivers.
Pierre and Beatrice are close friends of Ferrari icon Jacky Ickx and his wife, the singer Khadja Nin. This weekend, the Italian royal couple appeared to be passing that passion for motorsport on to their children.
The family attended the racing event without their youngest, Bianca, who is just six months old. The family opted for formal looks, with Beatrice wearing a red jacket over a white blouse and trousers, while Pierre wore a blue suit over a white button-up shirt. The boys made for an adorable sight, matching in navy suits: one of them wore a white button-up and thick-rimmed glasses, while the other dressed in pale blue.
Stefano and Francesco met Ickx in the paddock, overwhelmed by the noise and atmosphere. The pair were photographed shielding their ears as they watched the action taking place on the track, hugging their mother in a moment that captured the sensory overload of their first real Grand Prix experience.
Throughout Ickx's career, the Belgian driver claimed eight Formula 1 victories across 14 seasons. It sets a high bar for the kids to live up to on their next racing experience.
The Grimaldi family's presence
The occasion also brought out Alexandre Grimaldi, the 22-year-old eldest son of Prince Albert, whom he had from a relationship before his marriage to Charlene of Monaco.
Alexandre was photographed in the VIP boxes alongside footballer Paul Pogba and actor Bradley Cooper, a clear reminder that the Monaco Grand Prix weekend remains one of the most star-studded events on the European social calendar.
