Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence now share a grandchild. The comedy legend confirmed that his son Eric Murphy and Martin's daughter Jasmin Lawrence have officially welcomed their first baby together
© GettyEddie shared the news during the American Film Institute Achievement Award Ceremony, saying, “They just had a baby girl. They just had her two weeks ago, or a week ago," he told E! News. The Coming to America star went on to explain name is Ari Skye.
© GettyEric and Jasmin are the children of two of the most iconic comedy stars of the ’90s, and their relationship has always been epic. They tied the knot last May, and just months later, shared they were expecting.
The new parents revealed their pregnancy on Instagram. “Thank you, Jesus, for the greatest gift,” they wrote.
The couple revealed their daughter’s name at their baby shower, with Jasmin softly saying, “Ari Skye. Mommy loves you so much. This day is all for you.”
© GettyWhen asked if he or Lawrence gave advice, he shared, “Oh, you don't give advice like that." “You know, your kids don't go by your advice. Your kids go by the example you set. They watch you," he continued.
The funny dad of 10 added, “The stuff you're saying, they don't even pay that s--t no mind. They watch and see what you do. So, I don't give a lot of advice.”
