Kim Kardashian has made her relationships media sensations in the past, but her new rumored romance with Lewis Hamilton feels different. The racecar driver is notoriously private when it comes to his love life, and after going viral at the Super Bowl with the reality star, he was not having any questions from the press about it.
The seventh world championship was in Bahrain this week, where Sky Sports F1 reporter Ted Kravitz revealed he shut down questions about his dating life.
Hamilton was asked whether he enjoyed his company more than the Super Bowl game itself, and he quickly set a firm boundary: “It’s my private life. I’m not talking about that."
New couple alert?
Hamilton, 41, and Kim, 45, first made headlines earlier this month, entering a Paris Hotel through an underground garage entrance with their teams after flying in together on a private jet from the UK on February 2.
According to Page Six, they had a couple’s massage and a fancy dinner in the city of love.
Less than two weeks later, they attended Super Bowl LX together at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. The two were snapped sitting together, chatting closely, smiling, and sharing a noticeably flirty energy while watching the Seahawks own the Patriots.
Photos and videos quickly went viral, including an image of them kissing, which was picked up by media outlets. It was later determined to be AI.
They’ve reportedly known each other socially for years, but sources say the dynamic shifted recently. An insider told the US Sun that they have “such intense working schedules” but are doing what they can to “spend as much time together as possible.” “Right now, they’re inseparable and are fitting their dates around Kim’s work commitments,” the source explained.
Hamilton’s desire for privacy
Hamilton has been candid in the past about why he keeps romance off the record. After his seven-year, on-and-off relationship with Nicole Scherzinger ended in 2015, he admitted he “learned the hard way” about public relationships.
Since then, he’s been linked to a long list of A-listers, from Gigi Hadid and Rita Ora to Sofia Richie Grainge, Nicki Minaj, Winnie Harlow, and even Kim's little sister, Kendall Jenner. While they were snapped together in public, he never confirmed any romances.
In a 2025 interview with RTBF, Hamilton revealed he hadn’t had a long-term relationship in nearly a decade, explaining that his career came first. "I look at the other drivers, and I wonder how they're doing it. Some are having kids, some are married, most of them have a girlfriend,” he said. “I really focused on these last 10 years on getting everything I can out of my performance. Then, when I retire, I can do whatever I want.”
Before the Kardashian headlines, the most talked-about woman linked to Hamilton was Shakira in 2023. At the time, a source told PEOPLE the two were in the “getting to know you” phase and keeping things “fun and flirty.”
Still, even then, Hamilton stayed quiet, and Shakira eventually set the record straight herself. “We’re friends,” she told Rolling Stone, adding, “What space do I have for a man right now?”
A new era for Kim Kardashian?
As for Kim, following her divorce from Kanye West, she made headlines with Pete Davidson. From the Met Gala to his countless tattoos and even a branding, the relationship was anything but private. Before Hamilton, she was most recently linked to Odell Beckham Jr.
She teased what she’s looking at on Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé In Wonder Land podcast, saying, “Good morals and values. A calm person. Dependable.” “Takes accountability. That’s my No. 1 thing,” she added.
