The former Prince Andrew has quietly stepped back into public view. The Duke of York was photographed attending the Sandringham Horse Driving Trials on King Charles III's Norfolk estate, marking his first public appearance since his February arrest.

Keeping a notably low profile, Andrew remained inside his Land Rover Defender for much of the event as he discreetly showed his support for his sister-in-law, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who was competing in the carriage driving competition.

Dressed casually in a light blue button-down shirt and dark sunglasses, Andrew was seen driving around the Sandringham estate before leaving the venue, avoiding the crowds and media attention that typically accompany royal events.

The appearance is significant because it marks Andrew's first public outing since he was arrested on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

He was held for approximately 11 hours before being released under investigation. Since then, the Duke of York has kept an extremely low profile.

Although this was his first public appearance, Andrew was previously photographed in March during a private outing near Marsh Farm, his rural home within the Sandringham estate.

Those images showed him walking his dogs alongside a member of his security team, offering the first glimpse of the royal following his release.

His latest appearance, however, placed him back at an official royal event, albeit from a distance.

According to witnesses, Andrew deliberately stayed away from the main crowds, choosing instead to watch the competition from inside his vehicle before quietly departing the grounds.

The event itself centered on Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, whose longtime passion for carriage driving has made her a regular competitor at Sandringham.

Prince Edward was also in attendance, supporting his wife throughout the competition, while other members of the royal family and spectators gathered across the King's private Norfolk estate.

Andrew's discreet return comes after months away from public engagements and renewed scrutiny surrounding his future within the royal family.

While the Duke has not resumed official royal duties, his appearance at Sandringham suggests he continues to maintain close family ties behind the scenes, even as he remains largely out of the public spotlight.
