Selena Gomez and Demi Moore just gave their fans an unexpected Disney reunion. The two reunited for Gomez's makeup brand, Rare Beauty, showcasing a new campaign. Called "Still Making Each Other Blush," the campaign sheds light on their friendship, which dates back to the time when they were children and auditioning for acting parts.
The pair have been friends for most of their lives. The photos show them dressed as princesses, with Gomez wearing a blue gown and Lovato opting for yellow. "Once a Princess, always a Princess," reads the post's caption.
"Best friends don’t just have each other’s backs. They make them blush too. The Delena: Soft Pinch Blush Bundle is out now at rarebeauty.com. Includes Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Hope + Virtue and a free blush brush."
The shoot is a callback to the film they made together, "Princess Protection Program," which features them in the movie's poster in an almost identical pose.
You can check out the post on Gomez's Instagram. "The perfect collab doesn’t ex…" wrote Benny Blanco.
Lovato herself wrote: "delena forever."
"FREAKING OUT!" wrote the Disney Channel.
"I'm literally sobbing this is my whole childhood," wrote a fan.
More details on Demi and Selena's friendship
In an accompanying press release, Lovato and Gomez shed light on their friendship and relationship, which began when they were 7 years old, as the two were waiting to audition for "Barney and Friends."
“Selena and I have shared a lot of memories over the years since childhood, so being able to connect in this way, in a campaign that feels so nostalgic to both of us, is such a full-circle moment,” said Lovato in a press release. "I’ve loved her liquid blush since she launched the brand so this was really fun to work on. Being on set together felt like we were back in our old bedrooms making YouTube videos and playing with makeup.”
Gomez also shared her thoughts. “The experiences I’ve shared with Demi are truly unique. Coming together for this campaign was a beautiful reminder of that history and a chance to celebrate who we are today. One and the same… always.”
