Shakira teaches her sons and their friends how to wakeboard [PHOTOS]

Shakira traded stadium lights for open water this week as she spent a laid-back afternoon wakeboarding with her sons and a group of their friends in Miami. The global music superstar appeared fully in mom mode while enjoying the sporty outing aboard a sleek MasterCraft boat.

Dressed in a black long-sleeve wetsuit top and shorts, Shakira looked relaxed and energized as she helped supervise the action on the water. At one point, the singer sat cross-legged at the front of the boat while keeping an eye on one of the kids in the water, preparing for a ride.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer appeared completely immersed in the family-focused day. Between wakeboarding sessions, she chatted with the children, smiled at passing boats, and soaked up the breezy waterfront atmosphere. Her sons seemed to be having the time of their lives alongside their friends, taking turns wakeboarding.

One standout moment came when Shakira successfully surfed the wake behind the speeding boat while everyone onboard watched closely.

Shakira appeared proud and entertained by the impressive balancing skills on display. The boat itself was packed with watersports gear, including colorful boards secured overhead.

The Grammy winner has long been known for maintaining an active lifestyle, and wakeboarding appeared to fit naturally into her routine.

In 2023, the Colombian icon was spotted having a lot of fun after moving to Florida, reuniting with her friends, and going on different adventures. During one of the outings, the "Dai Dai" singer can be seen demonstrating her incredible surfing skills in a new video posted on Instagram. “If there are no waves we make them,” she wrote in Spanish. “This is how she got her sings back,” one person wrote, adding “Reborn,” while someone else commented, “She is talented in everything she does.”

 This is not the first time she is spotted enjoying some time in the ocean, as she was previously seen taking surf lessons with her kids back in 2022.

The same year she was also spotted having the best time during her tropical vacation, showing off her surfing skills and catching some waves. And while the star was briefly thrown off a wave at one point, she quickly got back up thanks to  her instructor.

She rubbed the salt water out of her eyes and appeared distressed for a moment, however, she did not suffer any injuries.
