There’s a generation of celebrity kids following in their parents’ footsteps. One of those is Kingston Rossdale, the son of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. Born to singers, the 19-year-old has picked up a guitar, started jamming, and is sharing his talents with social media.
Kingston has shared a couple of clips on Instagram, where he has over 25k followers. Last week, he shared a video strumming on an acoustic guitar, writing, "i love emo tunings." His chunky silver rings were giving off some rockstar edge.
The young man had his long hair styled back just like how his dad has worn it for decades. Gavin is known as the frontman of the band Bush, and the group just performed at Stagecoach.
Bush has a grunge sound influenced by Nirvana. In the comments were fans who compared them instantly. "'Cause your Dad is the King of Grunge.." someone wrote. "Very talented, just like your parents," "swear if my favorite artist's son turns into an emo musician I might die of happiness," others commented.
He shared another clip in April playing a similar style of music writing, "made this earlier."
He has shared photos jamming with friends, but it doesn't seem like Kingston has fully started a band yet.
Needless to say, Kingston grew up around music. His parents were married for over a decade before separating in 2015. He has two brothers, Zuma and Apollo.
For Gavin, watching his son step into that world has been like looking in a mirror. “He’s just a joy because when he’s playing guitar, all he wants to do is wear my clothes,” Rossdale said. “He comes out looking better than me, generally.”
Kingston also has the support of his stepdad. He performed for the first time at Blake Shelton’s Oklahoma venue, Ole Red, in 2023. “King has been writing a bunch of amazing songs,” Stefani told PEOPLE after the performance. “When it’s your kid, you love everything, but this is next level to me. These are really good songs. I was bawling.”
One special person in his corner has also been his girlfriend, Lola Albert. The young lovebirds are always sharing snaps, and they have each other's handles in their profiles to let anyone thinking about sending a DM know that they are taken.
She's always in his comments hyping up his talents, and they recently celebrated another anniversary. This week, he shared a snap of them kissing with the caption, "lovebug another incredible year. I am so lucky to call you mine you’re the most thoughtful kind and beautiful soul & i’m so proud of the person you’ve become. We went into the last decade together and now into the next. I love you happiest birthday."
