Apple Martin is preparing for a big milestone. The daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin is graduating from college and has shared a video as she prepares for her walk to retrieve her diploma.
Martin shared the clip on her Instagram, showing her wearing a white dress, black flats, and a black graduation robe. The camera is placed to the side, showing the full lenght of her body as she walks, with her gown and her long blonde hair flowing dramatically behind her.
As she turns, she starts to smile, with the clip ending abruptly. "I'm graduating college btw," she wrote over the image.
Martin is graduating from Vanderbilt University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, where she studied law, history, and society. Still, while she took a different approach to her parents when it comes to her education, she's interested in the arts, sharing her involvement in a play.
In an Instagram post, she shared numerous photos of the play, revealing that she had directed it. "Best weekend, best people, best org, best memories," she wrote.
"Miss Director couldn't have said it better," wrote the school's theater group.
Martin will likely graduate in May, with Vanderbilt University having its graduations scheduled for May 7th and 8th.
What Apple wants to do with her future
In an interview with Vogue, Martin revealed that she first wanted to go to law school, hoping to do something totally different from her parents. She's changed her mind now, steering much closer to the arts.
"I was in that rebellious 'I don't wanna be like my parents' type of phase," she said of her decision of wanting to pursue law school.
"I don't wanna be a singer," said Martin, revealing that she likes to sing, like her father and her brother Moses, who plays the guitar and is in a band called People I've Met.
"I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying," she said. "I love dancing, and I love acting. My dream is to act."
