Gomez, who was Miss Teen Universe representing northern Mexico’s Baja California state in 2017, was killed 24 hours before her husband, Alejandro Gómez, alerted authorities.

Investigators also believe that Alejandro was home at the time of the murder. However, his mother, Erika Maria, the prime suspect.

People magazine reported that the building staff has no recollection of hearing gunshots or noticing unusual activity. Investigations are still underway, and forensic teams have already combed the apartment for any evidence that could help resolve this case.
