Princess Charlene and daughter Gabriella coordinate in dreamy mother-daughter looks in Monaco

Princess Charlene of Monaco and her daughter, Princess Gabriella, shared a sweet style moment during one of the principality's most beloved annual traditions.

The 48-year-old royal stepped out alongside Prince Albert II and their 11-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, on Saturday, September 19, for U Cavagnëtu, Monaco's traditional end-of-summer picnic.

Held at Princess Antoinette Park, the annual gathering brings members of the Princely Family together with the Monégasque community for an evening celebrating local traditions, music and food. 

For the family outing, Charlene embraced a softer side of royal dressing in a romantic ivory midi dress by Erdem. The flowing crepe design, officially called the Printed Flutter-Sleeves Midi Dress in "Cabinet of Curiosity Ivory," featured a softly draped neckline, defined waist and delicate flutter sleeves.

But a closer look revealed that Charlene's print wasn't simply floral. Butterflies, bees, dragonflies and other insects appeared among delicate flowers and botanical motifs across the ivory fabric. 

The whimsical "Cabinet of Curiosity" print comes from Erdem's Pre-Spring 2026 collection, which drew inspiration from the work of 17th-century naturalist and scientific illustrator Maria Sibylla Merian.

She paired the midi with beige Gianvito Rossi Ascent 85 slingback pumps. The pointed-toe shoes feature an 85mm heel and a delicate metallic bow detail along the back strap. 

Charlene also carried Dior's Mini Lady D-Joy bag in Latte Cannage lambskin. The structured white accessory is a contemporary interpretation of the house's iconic Lady Dior, the handbag famously associated with the late Princess Diana.

For her beauty look, the former Olympic swimmer swept her blonde hair into a soft low updo that put the focus on her pearl earrings. She complemented the romantic outfit with luminous makeup, rosy cheeks and a soft pink lip.

Rather than wearing identical outfits, Gabriella and Charlene echoed one another through their silhouettes and delicate color palette. Gabriella's dress featured airy, semi-sheer flutter sleeves and a flowing midi-length skirt, details that subtly mirrored the movement and feminine sleeves of her mother's Erdem design.

The young princess finished her look with sandals identified as Mango, while keeping her long light brown hair loose and straight. Her fresh, natural beauty look was appropriately minimal, while her pale pink dress picked up the rosy tones seen throughout Charlene's botanical print.

Their bouquets provided another charming point of coordination. Both mother and daughter carried arrangements filled with pink and white blooms and greenery, with Gabriella's bouquet particularly complementing her blush dress. 

The coordinated dressing extended to the other half of the family. Prince Albert wore beige trousers with a blue blazer and open-collar white shirt, while Jacques appeared in a remarkably similar combination of beige trousers, a navy jacket and white shirt.

Together, the four created a subtly coordinated family portrait, but Charlene and Gabriella's romantic dresses made for an especially sweet mother-daughter fashion moment.

For Charlene, the outing also continued something of a personal style tradition. She has repeatedly turned to white for U Cavagnëtu, including a white guipure lace dress at the 2025 celebration. This year, however, she traded the more structured lace for Erdem's breezy, nature-inspired print, with Gabriella providing the perfect pink complement.
