Princess Charlene brought a dose of dramatic royal glamour to Monaco for a particularly special night for her husband, Prince Albert II.

The Monegasque royal joined Prince Albert on Friday, September 18, for the 20th anniversary gala of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation at the Salle Garnier of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo.

For the black-tie celebration, Charlene embraced one of fashion's most timeless colors in an elegant floor-length black gown that combined a streamlined silhouette with intricate embellishment.

The otherwise minimalist design was transformed by a sheer neckline covered in black beading, which extended across her shoulders in a cape-like layer. Rows of shimmering fringe added movement and texture to the monochromatic look, creating a dramatic contrast with the gown's sleek skirt.

Charlene kept her accessories refined, carrying a small black clutch and adding sparkle with diamond drop earrings. Black pointed-toe pumps completed the head-to-toe look.

Her beauty look followed the same polished approach. The princess wore her blonde hair swept into an elegant updo, leaving a softly sculpted section at the front to frame her face. Defined lashes, softly smoky eyes and a natural pink lip completed the evening look.

The glamorous event marks two decades since Albert established his environmental foundation in 2006. Its work focuses on climate change, biodiversity and water resources, and the organization has supported hundreds of projects around the world since its creation.

The anniversary brought an impressive roster of international stars to Monaco. Christina Aguilera, Plácido Domingo and Sister Sledge were announced as performers for the evening, while Monica Bellucci and Richard Gere joined the celebration as guests of honor.

Charlene and Albert posed alongside several of the evening's famous guests during the celebration, bringing together Monaco royalty and some of the biggest names in entertainment for the milestone occasion.

The appearance also continued an especially stylish week for Charlene. Just two days earlier, the princess joined Albert at the Prince's Palace for a gathering of the Small European National Societies network, where she opted for a dramatically different palette in a neutral asymmetrical Oscar de la Renta dress.
