Puerto Rico is getting ready for one of the biggest nights in Miss Universe history, and now fans are getting their first look at the stage where the next queen will be crowned. The Miss Universe Organization has revealed the stage for the 75th anniversary competition, set for November 24, 2026, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan.
And this isn't being designed as your typical pageant stage. The futuristic set will feature moving scenic elements, 3D graphics, and advanced lighting and video systems capable of transforming the space throughout the competition. The organization presented the stage concept on September 30, giving fans an early glimpse at the massive production planned for the milestone edition.
The reveal is also making clear that Miss Universe is treating its return to Puerto Rico as much more than another final.
Miss Universe 2026 Stage Will Change Throughout the Competition
One of the most interesting details about the Miss Universe 2026 stage is that it isn't meant to have just one look. The set has been designed to transform as the show progresses.
Movable scenic pieces will work alongside 3D graphics, lighting and video technology to change the atmosphere for different portions of the competition. That opens up plenty of possibilities. Instead of contestants walking through the same visual environment all night, the production can shift the background, lighting, scale and overall mood depending on what's happening onstage.
The National Costume Show could have an entirely different visual identity from the preliminary competition. Final night can change again as the field narrows and the show approaches the crowning moment.
First Look at the Miss Universe Puerto Rico Stage
The stage reveal arrives less than two months before contestants from around the world gather in Puerto Rico. The production is being built for the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, better known as the Choliseo, one of the island's biggest entertainment venues.
Miss Universe previously announced that the arena has a capacity of approximately 18,500 people.
Puerto Rico Is Hosting a Historic Miss Universe Anniversary
There is another reason organizers are going big. This isn't just Miss Universe 2026. It's the pageant's 75th edition.
The Miss Universe Organization announced Puerto Rico as the host destination in September 2025, confirming that the anniversary celebration would take place in San Juan in November 2026.
Puerto Rico's selection also marks the return of the international competition to the island after more than two decades. The Puerto Rican government announced the hosting plans in 2025 alongside representatives of the Miss Universe Organization and several former Puerto Rican titleholders.
The anniversary isn't being limited to one evening, either. The organization initially described plans for cultural, artistic, and social activities connected to the celebration, positioning Puerto Rico itself as part of the larger 75th anniversary experience.
When Is Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico?
Fans will actually get several opportunities to see the new Miss Universe stage in action. Three major ticketed events are scheduled at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in November.
The National Costume Show will take place Saturday, November 21, at 7 p.m. The preliminary competition follows Sunday, November 22, at 7 p.m.
The Miss Universe 2026 final is scheduled for Tuesday, November 24, at 8 p.m., when the 75th anniversary celebration culminates with the crowning of the next Miss Universe.
