Just days ago, news that Tamara Rogouski would not compete in the Miss Universe final in Puerto Rico on November 24 sent shockwaves through the pageant world. The Miss Universe Argentina organization initially explained that her decision was due to “personal reasons” and announced that first runner-up Daiana Pereyra would take her place.
At the time, the lack of details sparked plenty of questions among pageant fans, especially since Rogouski had emerged as one of the Latina contestants considered a strong contender for the crown. Now, the reason behind her unexpected departure has finally been revealed, and it comes as Rogouski celebrates two major milestones in her personal life.

The intimate yet elegant ceremony featured the former Miss Argentina wearing a strapless white corset-style gown paired with a delicate stole around her neck. She completed the look with an updo featuring loose face-framing strands, creating a sophisticated but effortless bridal style.
Maldonado opted for a white suit paired with a black bow tie and his signature glasses.
Tamara Rogouski Announces Her Pregnancy
The biggest surprise came when the newlyweds announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The couple shared the happy news with a photo of an ultrasound alongside an illustration of a stork carrying a blue bundle, prompting speculation that they may be expecting a baby boy. The image also featured the message, “You will also be part of this beautiful story.”
The announcement revealed that Rogouski’s decision to step away from Miss Universe Argentina 2026 was connected to this new chapter in her personal life.
This will be Rogouski’s second child. She is already a mom to her daughter Sophi, who accompanied her throughout her journey to the national crown.
Rogouski’s Miss Universe Argentina win was historic, as she became the first mother to win the country’s title, marking an important milestone for the competition.
Although pregnancy itself would not necessarily have prevented her from competing, Rogouski ultimately chose to focus on her family and step away from the opportunity to compete for the Miss Universe crown.
Her decision also ends her bid to become the successor to Fátima Bosch after Rogouski had attracted considerable attention as one of Argentina’s most closely watched contestants heading into the international competition.
Argentina Is Still Headed to Miss Universe in Puerto Rico
In mid-September, the Miss Universe Argentina organization released an official statement confirming that Rogouski would no longer represent the country at the international final.
“Due to personal matters and in accordance with what best serves her interests, Tamara Rogouski, Miss Universe Argentina 2026, will not participate in the 75th edition of Miss Universe, which will take place during the month of November in Puerto Rico,” the organization said.

“We want to express all our affection, support and gratitude to Tamara at this time. We send her tremendous strength and our very best wishes, accompanying her with respect and affection throughout this process,” the statement continued.

Pereyra will now continue preparing for the international stage as Argentina pursues another Miss Universe crown, while Rogouski begins a very different chapter focused on marriage, family, and the arrival of her second child.
