Excitement is already in the air in Puerto Rico, where this year the Miss Universe pageant takes on a special meaning. This won’t be just any edition, but the diamond anniversary marking 75 years of history for this competition that has shaped generations. Preparations for this huge celebration are underway, and the Miss Universe Organization has confirmed the schedule for the most important week of the pageant, the day we’ll meet the successor to Fátima Bosch, the current titleholder.
The questions that had been swirling for months have now completely disappeared. Despite rumors pointing to a possible change of venue, MUO confirmed in an official statement that the island remains firmly in place as host of this major event, making Puerto Rico the epicenter of global beauty and hope.
“The celebration will include three spectacular events that will bring together delegates from around the world for an unforgettable week in honor of the beauty, culture, leadership and legacy of Miss Universe,” the statement reads.
When is the Miss Universe 2026 final?
The pageant events will kick off in early November. “In addition to the three televised events, the Miss Universe Organization will hold a series of special activities during the weeks of competition, including cultural experiences, community initiatives, media events, partner activations and celebrations that will further highlight the beauty, hospitality and vibrant spirit of Puerto Rico,” the organizers explain.
On Saturday the 21st, the candidate chosen from each country will take the stage in her national costume, a celebration of the world’s cultures and national pride. On Sunday, November 22, the Preliminary Competition will take place, where the finalists begin to emerge.
And on Tuesday, November 24, a new chapter in the history of the pageant will be written, as we meet the new Miss Universe, who will hold the title in the diamond anniversary year. The grand finale will be held at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, where Fátima Bosch’s successor will be crowned before a global audience.
