Former Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios has officially moved on. Back in March, the Nicaraguan beauty queen confirmed what had long been rumored: her relationship with Carlos Gómez had come to an end. Now, it appears her single days are over as she has gone public with a new romance, sharing loved-up photos with her new boyfriend. Along with the sweet snapshots, Palacios also had a pointed response for her ex after he posted what many interpreted as a message directed at her.

© Instagram @sheynnispalacios_ofOver the weekend, Sheynnis shared highlights from a trip to El Salvador, where she traveled to celebrate a friend's birthday. During a boat outing, the model stunned in a white crochet dress, but it wasn't her outfit that caught everyone's attention.

Although she didn't tag him, fans quickly identified the man as Carlos Arias, a Salvadoran basketball player. He was in the comments, adorably writing, "My favorite place has a first and last name."

The following day, Arias posted more photos of the pair enjoying a beach day and cuddling beside a bonfire. "Just the ocean, the sunset, and the right person. An incredible place to completely disconnect with your favorite person," he wrote.

Arias' brother, Alejandro Arias, who wrote, "Long live love," left no quesiton that they are happy and in love.
Her ex's post
After news of Sheynnis' new romance spread, her ex-boyfriend Carlos Gómez shared a cryptic message on his Instagram Stories. "Sometimes the truth just needs time," he wrote alongside a selfie.
Although Gómez didn't mention Sheynnis by name, many followers interpreted the post as a subtle dig at his former girlfriend following her relationship reveal.

After sharing more photos from her trip to El Salvador, she wrote: "Stop using a story that's already over to keep the spotlight on yourself. I've already closed that chapter. And I didn't even need to tell THE TRUTH."
The message made it clear that, from her perspective, she has moved on.

Palacios added that the relationship ended in what she believed was the healthiest way possible for both of them. "Everything has an ending, and that chapter came to an end. Now this new chapter of Sheynnis begins."
