Kai Trump has sparked some dating rumors. The influencer and granddaughter of President Donald Trump has been linked to Jake Weinberg, a football player for the Miami Hurricanes. The two are students at the University of Miami and were seen at the same restaurant.
According to Kai's reps, despite the fact that both are athletes and students at UM, the rumors are unfounded. The two are simply friends, reports TMZ, and were spotted at the same Palm Beach restaurant by coincidence.
The outlet claims Weinberg is a kicker for the Miami Hurricanes and used to play for Florida State University. He's reportedly had a good season with the team, which is also having a great season, with eight games undefeated.
In the case of Kai, she's a member of the University of Miami's golf team. She is planning on playing the sport professionally and has participated in various golf tournaments. She's also been mentored by Tiger Woods, who has been dating her mother over the past year.
In October, she had to undergo surgery after a wrist injury, briefly derailing her plans. “While I had hoped to avoid surgery, after talks with my family, coaches, and athletic training staff I know I made the best decision for my long-term health and my future in the game I love,” she wrote in a statement.
Kai opens up about her dating life
Earlier this year, Kai Trump had one of her most notable public appearances. In January, she was featured on "Impaulsive," Logan Paul's podcast. There, she opened up about many topics pertaining to her personal life, including her politics and her dating life.
She revealed that dating is difficult as the granddaughter of the country's president, and that she's constantly accompanied by members of the Secret Service.
“To be honest, it’s really awkward when you’re… going on a date with a guy and they’re two tables behind you. It’s a little weird,” she said.
“I try my best to not let it bother me and I think I’ve learned, especially the past year now … to [know] yes, they’re following me, but also focus and pretend like they’re not there,” Kai concluded.
