Britney Spears has shared a new post about her family. Shared earlier this week, Spears opened up about her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, making it clear that all is not well with those relationships.
Spears shared a post on Instagram of a photo of a young Dakota Fanning in the movie "Uptown Girls," where she's seen raising her middle finger towards her off-screen co-star, Brittany Murphy.
"I will find a new family !!!" wrote Spears. "Jamie Lynn never let me hold Ivy one time when I would visit in Louisiana during covid in two week trips and Kevin wouldn’t let me use the bathroom when I would pick my children up in their house !!!" Spears is referring to her niece, Ivey, who is eight years old.
She continued by sharing how their actions made her feel. "They made me feel like a slave and have all their secret things they did behind my back and all I ever did was work for my dad !!! I will find a new family !!!" Spears shares two sons with Federline: Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden James, 20.
Spears and Federline were married from 2004 to 2007, and were involved in one of the most notorious relationships in the industry. Their divorce was also highly publicized, with Federline publishing a memoir discussing his relationship with Spears called "You Thought You Knew."
Recent reports allege that Federline has been in credit card debt since Spears stopped her child support payments due to her kids growing over the age of 18.
Britney and Jamie Lynn's frayed relationship
Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears' relationship has been strained for years, becoming the subject of public fixation after the publication of Jamie Lynn's memoir "Things I Should Have Said."
“That love is still there, 100 percent. I love my sister,” said Jamie Lynn during a Good Morning America interview shortly after the release of the book.
“I’ve only ever loved and supported her and done what’s right by her, and she knows that. So I don’t know why we’re in this position right now."
"I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter, so when she needed help, I set up ways to do so.”
