John Stamos is officially 63, and he started his day off with a nude moment. On Wednesday, the Full House star got artsy with a black-and-white mirror selfie that left very little to the imagination.
Stamos made sure to crop the photo so he didn't break Instagram's community guidelines, leaving his V-Lines and toned abs on display. He covered his face with his phone as he showed off his abs, tattoos, and famously full head of hair, simply captioning the post, “63.”
Fans of the actor know this has become a tradition. Last year for his 62nd birthday, he shared a cheeky photo from a rooftop shower in New York City. The actor was once again topless, only making a sensual face into the falling water. That time he was at least wearing Calvin Klein underwear.
He reflected on getting older in the caption, writing "At 62, I’ve learned the best things in life can’t be washed away…laughter, love, and gratitude."
John Stamos' secrets to staying fit and youthful
As for how Stamos is keeping his body toned at 62, the actor has never pretended that he discovered some magical Hollywood fountain of youth.
In 2025, when he was asked about how he stays looking young, he told US Weekly, “I am getting old, although I don’t feel it.” He also credited taking care of himself, like his 10 years of sobriety from alcohol, working out, and prioritizing getting good sleep.
“I don’t do a lot,” he said. “I wash my face. Depends on if there’s some scrub around. I work out three or four times a week. I do this electric muscle-stimulant thing where you put a suit on, but you only wear it for 20 minutes. But good sleep now is important."
Stamos stopped drinking a decade ago and said, “That’s why I’m alive.” He also credited his wife, Caitlin McHugh, and their son, Billy, with keeping him feeling young and giving him a different perspective on longevity.
His routine has changed over the years. Back in 2016, Stamos told the Los Angeles Times that in the 80s and 90s he spent a lot of time in the gym trying to bulk up his muscles.
As he got older, he turned to Pilates and swimming, saying the workouts helped him stay lean while strengthening his core. He also incorporated stretching, push-ups, pull-ups and running.
One thing that hasn't changed is his commitment to sleep. “I think sleep is the key to looking young,” Stamos told the Los Angeles Times, explaining that he aimed to be in bed before midnight and get about eight hours a night.
