Madonna is celebrating the release of "Confessions II." Her new dance album is a sequel to her beloved "Confessions on a Dance Floor," which came out in 2005. Over the weekend, Madonna was photographed with two of her kids, Lourdes Leon and Rocco Ritchie, and her boyfriend Akeem Morris as they all celebrated the release of the album.
Madonna and her kids opted for primarily black looks. She wore a black short dress made out of leather and lace, which she paired with tights, boots, and gloves. She completed the look with matching sunglasses, a diamond necklace, and a Yves Saint Laurent purse.
She was accompanied by her boyfriend, who wore a dark blue tracksuit paired with a grey jacket.
Her eldest daughter, Lourdes, was seen wearing a black corset that she paired with a short tartan skirt with a dramatic tail and stylish accessories, like a purse with metal studs and some velvet boots. She styled her hair straight, with it framing her face and reaching her waist.
The two were also accompanied by Rocco Richie, Madonna's son with Guy Ritchie. He opted for a black leather jacket, a matching t-shirt, and some distressed jeans. He was sporting a buzzcut, a style he's showcased over the past year.
The group was seen leaving a private club in the area of Mayfair in London, where they were accompanied by some of the celebrities and musicians who were featured in "Confessions," the Madonna short film that teased some of her music and premiered at the Tribeca Festival earlier in June.
Madonna and Lourdes discuss their relationship
While "Confessions II" is a dance album, it also explores some personal topics for Madonna, including her relationship with her daughter. Lourdes, who's also a singer, is featured on one of Madonna's songs, called "The Test," where the two address their relationship and their bond.
"I know they tried to put us to the test. I'm not the same when I'm hanging on your coattail," read the lyrics. "Sometimes I wish I could multiply but I know you are all I need."
Lourdes sings some of the song's most emotional lyrics. "A hand tenderly reaching to me. You are my reason to be. What I want, or look like, what I wear, all the clothes on my back and what I attract," she sings. "I trace the line of what you have sewn. Keep my own design, make it a landscape, make it alive."
"The Test" marks their second collaboration. Lourdes was previously featured on the "Confessions" short film, having one of the most prominent roles in the project, with her saying the final lines onscreen.
