Cardi B may be balancing life as a mother of four, but don’t expect the Grammy winner to tone down the glam anytime soon. The rapper made it clear that motherhood has not dulled her love for luxury fashion, diamonds, bold looks, or making an entrance with daring outfits.

During an interview with E! News, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper opened up about how raising her children has influenced her personal style. Cardi shares Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 20 months, with ex-husband Offset, as well as a 5-month-old son with Stefon Diggs.

Cardi B says motherhood hasn’t changed her love for fashion, diamonds or standing out. The rapper opened up about balancing parenting with bold style and luxury fashion.

Despite motherhood, Cardi insists her identity and fashion remain intact. “It hasn't. F--k that, they haven't changed me for sh--t!” Cardi joked. Still, she admitted there are a few limits now that she’s a mom. “I'm not gonna go to my daughter's school with a see-through shirt or with a shirt [where] my nipples are rock hard.” The rapper explained that she knows how to dress appropriately for different moments, whether it’s a school event or a red carpet appearance.

“Fashion is a big thing in my life. It makes me feel good, it makes me feel sexy,” Cardi shared. “If I'm not working on music or if I'm not doing music videos, I want to get creative throughout the day. Changing your clothes, like doing different hair, doing different makeup, doing different accessories—I love fashion, fashion is my thing.”

Cardi’s larger-than-life approach to style includes diamond-heavy jewelry stacks, dramatic couture looks, rare handbags, elaborated nails, and over-the-top wigs. “I like to get dressed up, I like to feel nice,” she explained. “When you look good, you want to work, you want to go outside, you want to do something.”

The rapper also said that while she has a designer-filled closet, she still appreciates a smart purchase. “I like me a discount, honey,” she joked. “I don't want to pay extra.”

Her passion for fashion is also dripping on her oldest daughter, Kulture, who has already developed a strong sense of style. According to Cardi, her daughter constantly raids her closet. “Oh my god. This girl [Kulture] is always in my closet,” Cardi said with a laugh. “I'm about sick of it, but she already knows the rules—my clothes, whatever, and my shoes, whatever, but don't touch Mommy's purses. You already wrote on one of them,” she said, referring to the time Kulture drew on one of her expensive purses with a permanent marker.

Cardi added that Kulture gravitates toward vibrant prints, rainbows, and floral pieces. “She loves colorful things,” Cardi shared. “She's a very vibrant girl…She's a girly girl.”

While motherhood has changed parts of Cardi B’s daily life, her commitment to fashion remains unapologetic.
