Cardi B is a cool mom in more ways than one. The New York-born Dominican rapper is learning that baseball mom duties come with serious heat. On Sunday, May 17, the “Money” rapper shared a candid reaction on her Instagram Stories after making a special appearance at her son Wave’s baseball game.
While the crowd loved seeing her on the field, Cardi B admitted that outdoor sports life is not exactly her comfort zone. In a now-viral clip, the Grammy winner walked onto the field alongside her 4½-year-old son as fans cheered her name. After receiving a baseball, Cardi tossed the pitch toward the catcher while Wave stood beside her.
But according to Cardi, the real challenge started after the throw. “This is why I say I’m such a girls’ mom,” she joked on Instagram Stories. “A dance recital inside, I love it. I love a dance recital inside.”
She then hilariously explained why warm weather is not her thing. “Being outside in this heat for a baseball game, urgh, I can’t handle it,” Cardi said. “I’m ready to pass out, I can’t handle it.”
The rapper shares three children with her estranged husband, Offset: daughter Kulture Kiari, 7½, son Wave Set, 4, and daughter Blossom Belle, 19 months. Cardi also shares a son with NFL star Stefon Diggs. The pair were first publicly linked in May 2025. Their son was born in November 2025.
Cardi B Arguing with Stefon Diggs in Public
Cardi B and Diggs were caught arguing in public, so she addressed the video in a post on X. "Sometimes I forget I'm a celebrity… damn y'all ain't never cuss your babydad out when you hungry?" she wrote. The video appears to have been captured by an onlooker, who then shared it online, gaining virality and the opinions of many viewers.
No audio is available, but the clip shows Cardi appearing to yell at Diggs as the two were outside of a coffee shop in Maryland.
Still, it seems like their relationship is more complicated than that, with the two sparking reconciliation rumors on Mother's Day. The two spent the holiday together in Washington, D.C., at an NFL wellness event billed as "A Moment for Mom."
