Homer Gere is preparing for the biggest year of his career. The 26 year old actor and son of Richard Gere has lined up parts in two of the major TV shows currently in development: "Euphoria," which is back with its third season, and "The Shards," the upcoming Ryan Murphy show where he plays a key role and stars alongside Kaia Gerber. Here's all you should know about him.
He's one of three brothers
© WireImageHomer is Richard's eldest son, and the only one from his marriage to Carey Lowell, whom he divorced in 2013 after 11 years together. Richard then married his current wife, Alejandra Silva, with whom he shares two sons: James and Alexander.
“My wife is Spanish, and we’re going there for her family, her friends, her culture," said Richard in an appearance on the Today Show. "The kids are bilingual, so it’s really going to be great for them.”
In the past, Richard has also spoken about Homer and becoming a parent. "He fills me with joy. You have to make time for a child, but it's enormously satisfying. That's love, too," he said back in 2008.
In a separate interview with The Hindustan Times, Richard said that he picks roles depending on his availability, with him ensuring that he's not apart from Homer for too long. "So, if I have to be away for long, I talk to him about it, and if there is a problem, I don't take up the project," he said in 2015. "And I have done that. Your family is more important than anything."
Homer's big acting year
© Getty ImagesHomer is currently going through one of the biggest years of his career. He's now starring in "Euphoria," one of the most anticipated TV shows of the year. He plays Dylan Reid, an actor who works with Maddy (Alexa Demie), one of the series' main characters.
This August, he's starring in "The Shards," the highly anticipated TV show developed by Ryan Murphy, based on the Bret Easton Ellis novel. He plays the role of Robert, a pivotal role in the show and one of the story's main antagonists.
What he's learned from his father

"It's not necessarily related to like the craft, but more like how do you carry yourself, how do you make this work in a positive way," he said in an interview with ET. "Having that kind of sounding board constantly is amazing."
He said that he calls his dad "every day."
He shares an interesting link with Kaia Gerber
