Queen Mary’s latest personal update comes with beautiful autumn scenery and two very enthusiastic companions.
The Danish royal shared a video of the family’s beloved dogs, Grace and Coco, enjoying a leafy woodland path, giving followers a glimpse of a quieter moment away from official engagements.
In the clip, the brown-and-white border collies run toward the camera across a carpet of golden leaves. With greenery lining the path, the setting makes a picturesque backdrop, although the four-legged stars are hard to look away from.
“An autumn walk in beautiful colors,” reads the Danish caption, translated into English. The message is signed “Her Majesty The Queen,” adding a personal touch to the post shared through the royal household’s official Instagram account.
There is also a playful musical detail. The video is set to Led Zeppelin’s “Ramble On,” a fitting soundtrack for the dogs’ outdoor adventure.
Meet Grace and Coco
The two dogs share a connection beyond belonging to the same royal household. Grace joined the family in 2017 and welcomed puppies in 2021. One of them, Coco, stayed with the royals, making the pair a mother-and-daughter duo.
Their importance to Mary, King Frederik and their children has been clear in the queen’s previous posts. For International Dog Day in August 2024, Mary wrote that Grace and Coco “have a very special meaning for our entire family.”
That celebration also came with a sweet family reunion of another kind. During a visit to Assens, Mary and Frederik met Eagle, Coco’s father. The unexpected encounter prompted the queen to share how much the father and daughter resembled one another.
Familiar faces in Mary’s personal updates
Grace and Coco have become recurring stars of the queen’s glimpses into family life.
Earlier this year, the royal household shared a winter photograph Mary took of Grace sitting in the snow, continuing her tradition of capturing the dogs amid Denmark’s changing seasons.
Now, the autumn video gives the pair another moment in the spotlight. Between the golden woodland setting, their boundless energy, and the classic rock accompaniment, Mary’s simple seasonal greeting has plenty of charm.
