Queen Máxima brought a romantic splash of color to her latest royal outing, offering inspiration for anyone still holding onto their favorite summer prints.
During her September 30 visit to Urk in the Netherlands, the queen wore a coral-pink midi dress whose standout feature was its voluminous sleeves.
Gathered into fitted cuffs, the billowing sleeves gave the dress a striking silhouette, balancing its defined waist and gently flared skirt.
A high neckline and a long row of fabric-covered buttons added to the design’s vintage feel, while cream and warm ochre floral and paisley motifs created an intricate pattern against the pink background.
A matching fabric belt, tied at the side, brought definition to the waist. Decorative borders along the belt and cuffs added another layer of detail, making the ensemble feel thoughtfully coordinated without requiring many accessories.
The dress seems to be a Zimmermann design, paired with Gianvito Rossi pumps and a Sophie Habsburg clutch. Máxima’s tan suede heels were particularly effective at bringing the colorful dress into an early-fall wardrobe.
The pointed toes and slim heels gave the outfit a polished finish, while the warm shade complemented the ochre tones in the print. She also carried a textured brown clutch that continued the earthy palette.
For her jewelry, the queen chose statement earrings featuring pale pearl-like centers and colorful accents, along with a bracelet and a rectangular watch on a dark strap. Her blonde hair was swept into a soft bun, keeping the dress’s high neckline and her earrings visible.
The photographs captured Máxima smiling and greeting residents, accepting flowers and shaking hands with children gathered along the route. In one playful moment, a well-wisher held an orange paper crown above her head.
Her visit highlighted initiatives supporting daily life in Urk, with a focus on entrepreneurship, young people, older residents and community spirit, according to the Dutch Royal House.
Between the full sleeves, warm patterned fabric and suede accessories, the queen’s outfit offered an elegant bridge between seasons. The pink palette kept the look fresh, while its details made a convincing case for wearing romantic prints well into fall.
