Queen Rania marked her 56th birthday with a series of images reflecting both her timeless style and her enduring bond with King Abdullah II.
In an affectionate photo released for the occasion, the Jordanian Queen rests one hand on her husband’s arm as the couple smiles for the camera. Their relaxed pose offers a personal glimpse of the royal couple, who celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary in June.
Rania looked elegant in a pale pink satin button-down shirt worn with light-colored trousers. The softly tailored look felt polished without appearing overly formal, perfectly complementing King Abdullah’s casual pale blue polo shirt and dark jeans.
The Queen left the top buttons of her shirt undone to create an elongated neckline and completed her understated ensemble with delicate hoop earrings, two slim gold rings and a pale manicure.
Her signature brunette hair was styled in a smooth, center-parted blowout, with softly sculpted waves cascading over one shoulder. For her beauty look, Rania emphasized her eyes with smoky brown shadow, black liner and defined lashes. A luminous complexion, rosy blush and glossy pink lips completed the romantic tonal palette.
The image arrives as Rania celebrates her birthday during a particularly joyful chapter for the Hashemite royal family. Earlier this month, her daughter Princess Iman and son-in-law Jameel Alexander Thermiotis welcomed twin daughters, Talia and Rania, with one of the baby girls named after her grandmother.
The twins, born on August 14, join their older sister Amina, who arrived in February 2025. King Abdullah and Queen Rania are now grandparents to four girls, including Princess Iman, the daughter of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa.
Queen Rania celebrated the special occasion surrounded by the youngest generation of her family. Sharing a photo with her four granddaughters, she wrote, “Spending my birthday in the best way imaginable. Love you, my favorite little girls.”
A memorable royal fashion moment:
The Royal Hashemite Court also shared Queen Rania’s memorable portraits, originally released when she turned 50 in 2020.
In the regal image, the Queen wears a floor-length white crepe gown by Ashi Studio, the fashion house founded by Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi.
The creation features long sleeves, a high neckline, intricate textural detailing and a scarf-like accent draped elegantly around her neck.
The Queen accessorized with dangling earrings and a sparkling statement ring. Her hair was styled in voluminous waves, while warm bronze eyeshadow, softly flushed cheeks and a glossy nude-pink lip created a glamorous but refined beauty look.
Her birthday also marks the close of another active year of public service. According to her office, the Queen continued supporting initiatives related to education, children, women, young people and family protection while accompanying King Abdullah’s work at home and abroad.
Yet this year’s celebrations appear to be especially personal. With four young granddaughters, a growing family and more than three decades of marriage behind her, Queen Rania begins her 57th year surrounded by those closest to her.
