An ivory shirt dress is a dependable choice for a daytime engagement, but Queen Rania gave hers a little extra personality.

Stepping out in Aqaba alongside King Abdullah II, the Jordanian royal paired romantic puff sleeves and a flowing midi skirt with a striking black corset belt, a detail that changed the entire silhouette.

The couple visited Aisha bint Abu Bakr Mixed Primary School on Sunday, October 4, ahead of World Teachers’ Day. They met with teachers, explored professional development programs, and spent time in a kindergarten classroom during the engagement.

Rania’s outfit offered a fresh way to wear a familiar wardrobe staple. Her ivory dress featured a pointed collar, contrasting dark buttons down the front and a gently flared skirt that fell below the knee.

The sleeves were particularly eye-catching, with sculptural folds and gathered cuffs creating volume above her elbows.

The queen wore the Amilya dress by Alexis, styled with a Louis Vuitton corset belt from 2016. Her accessories were burgundy Dior D-Choc pumps, a black Côme handbag by Nodie’s, and Jacquemus Ovalo sunglasses.

The belt was the standout. Its curved upper edge rose at either side of her waist, while the front tapered into a point over the skirt. A slim buckled strap crossed the wider black panel, adding another layer of detail.

Against the ivory fabric, the shape was impossible to miss. That contrast gave the dress a sharper finish while preserving its softness. The fitted waist balanced the fullness of the sleeves, and the skirt fell freely beneath it. Rather than adding more decoration, Rania let the proportions do the work.

Her shoes brought a welcome touch of color. The pointed burgundy pumps introduced a rich autumnal shade to the otherwise neutral outfit, making a compelling case for pairing ivory with deeper reds this season. Meanwhile, her small black handbag picked up the color of the belt without competing with its statement shape.

Outside the school, the queen added oval sunglasses for a sleek finishing touch. Her jewelry remained understated, with a slim bracelet and rings accompanying the smartwatch on her wrist.

Her beauty look was equally polished. Rania wore her highlighted brown hair loose, with a side part and soft waves falling over her shoulders. Sweeping strands framed her face, while defined brows, softly shaded eyes, and pink lipstick complemented the lightness of her dress.

The photographs captured warm moments throughout the visit, including Rania smiling as she chatted with children alongside the king. The couple also observed training sessions and spoke with educators about the impact of professional development on their classrooms.
