The reunion marked the former Spanish monarch's first return to Marivent since 2018, making it a symbolic moment despite taking place entirely behind closed doors.

A private reunion, not a public appearance:
Although early reports sparked speculation about a joint public appearance, Spanish media later clarified that the gathering took place entirely within the Marivent estate and was never an official royal engagement.
