Ariadna Gutiérrez

The Colombian model has become a familiar presence on Stéphane Rolland’s Paris runway, with 2026 marking her strongest fashion year yet.

Ariadna Gutiérrez has been famous for more than a decade, but the fashion career she is building now feels different. In July 2026, she stepped onto the runway at Paris’s Olympia for Stéphane Rolland in two striking white looks, one sweeping and asymmetrical with crystals at the neckline, the other finished with opera gloves. The collection paid tribute to Dalida, the Italian-French, singer and actress, and Gutiérrez was once again part of the designer’s vision. By then, seeing her on his couture runway was no longer a surprise.

That distinction matters. Long before pageants introduced her to an international audience, Gutiérrez was a teenager modeling in Barranquilla. She has said she started around 15 or 16 and, after high school, chose fashion even though her family would have preferred that she go to college. There was “no plan B,” as she has put it.

Then came Miss Colombia in 2014 and, a year later, one of the most unforgettable moments in Miss Universe history. Steve Harvey mistakenly announced Gutiérrez as the winner before the crown was transferred to Pia Wurtzbach on live television. The mistake made Gutiérrez globally recognizable in a matter of minutes, and she has been open about how painful its aftermath was. But that moment doesn’t explain the career she has today.

Gutiérrez moved through acting, television and commercial work before fashion once again became a bigger part of the picture. In June 2024, shortly after appearing at Vogue World in Paris, she made her Paris Haute Couture Week runway debut with Stéphane Rolland and helped close his Fall/Winter 2024–2025 presentation. He invited her back in January 2025. In January 2026, she walked in two looks. Then came the Olympia show in July.

Being asked back season after season says more than any single runway appearance could. Gutiérrez has developed a real relationship with a designer known for dramatic silhouettes and sculptural couture, and she looks completely at home in his clothes.

That momentum followed her throughout 2026. At Cannes, she arrived in a sculptural white WONÁ Concept gown paired with Chopard emeralds and diamonds. In June, she was in Venice for Diorissima, Dior’s high-end jewellery presentation. And in August, ¡HOLA! Américas photographed her at The Peninsula Paris for a cover story, dressed in Stéphane Rolland in the city that has become so important to this chapter of her career.

For Gutiérrez, there is also something personal in being a Colombian woman occupying these spaces. She has described being Latina as a “superpower” and spoken about the pride she feels when she gets to say where she comes from and share her culture. It is an identity she carries with her rather than something she puts on for an occasion.

At 32, Gutiérrez is returning to the work she chose as a teenager with considerably more life behind her and a clearer sense of where she belongs. The crown may be the reason millions first learned her name, but couture is giving them another reason to remember it.
