The Beckhams are frequently spotted dining at world-class restaurants, often turning celebrations into full family affairs alongside their children and their partners. David’s passion for food is well-documented. It is a love for the culinary arts he has clearly passed down to his kids, even as he balances his palate with high-stakes roles as co-owner of Salford City and president of Inter Miami. Victoria, on the other hand, famously maintains a much more disciplined approach by sticking to a strict diet she has followed for years.

Despite their differing diets, both have remained loyal regulars at Balthazar, the iconic and lively Soho brasserie. The couple recently returned to the New York landmark for a glamorous date night, arriving hand-in-hand and looking every bit the smitten pair. Naturally, they were the center of attention the moment they stepped through the door.

The Dining Experience at Balthazar

While the Beckhams kept their specific orders under wraps, they likely gravitated toward the classic French fare that has made this brasserie a New York institution. The dining room, designed to evoke a bustling Parisian train station, is a masterclass in atmosphere, featuring antique mirrors, dark wood accents, and a warm, golden glow. Widely considered one of the liveliest scenes in Soho, Balthazar remains a "see and be seen" destination from breakfast through late-night cocktails.

Founded in 1997 by legendary British restaurateur Keith McNally, the visionary behind other downtown icons like Pastis and Minetta Tavern, the restaurant is tucked away at 80 Spring Street in the heart of Manhattan’s artistic Soho district. For those across the pond, McNally also operates a popular London outpost in Covent Garden.

Its breakfasts and brunches are legendary, featuring specialties like Eggs Benedict, croissants, and other house-made French pastries. Its most iconic dessert is the banana and ricotta tart, which this successful and attractive couple likely couldn't resist, or perhaps the chocolate profiteroles, another Balthazar "must."

Among the savory dishes, highlights include the 'Steak frites', beef steak served with crispy fries; the 'Duck Shepherd’s Pie', a French version of the meat pie, with duck confit and mashed potato gratin; snails with garlic butter; 'Beef Stroganoff'; or a spectacular seafood bar with oysters, lobster, shrimp, and other shellfish. Likewise, there are low-calorie, vegan, and vegetarian options that could fit Victoria's tastes: salads, grilled fish, steamed vegetables, etc.

All of this is complemented by an extensive list of cocktails, wines, and spirits, where the Beckhams surely found the perfect option to toast to their success.
