The 2024 Grammy Awards red carpet was an exceptional display of fashion and trends, and Olivia Rodrigo didn’t shy away from making a statement with her stunning dress.
The American artist, who already had three Grammy Awards, was up for six more statuettes this year, including the coveted Best Album, song, and Recording of the Year awards.

Her hairstylist, Clayton Hawkins, created something classic for Rodrigo’s Old Hollywood-inspired look. “For Olivia’s Grammys glam, we wanted to do something classic that would stand the test of time,” the expert revealed. “Olivia is known for her long cascading waves, but today, we just wanted to amp it up in an old Hollywood direction.”

Then, he used the Supersonic hair dryer on medium heat to blow dry her hair. He then blows out and curls Olivia’s mohawk section to add more volume, then sets her hair in a velcro roller away from the face. He waved her hair uniformly, going away from her face. After each section, Clayton sprayed a generous amount of extra-hold hairspray. Once all of the hair was waved, he let down the velcro roller and brushed out all of the hair using a tooth comb.
