Khloé Kardashian is furthering the Kardashian universe expansion, and Hulu is doubling down on the family business. The streamer is expanding its relationship with Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie through a new unscripted series, “The Girls,” led by Khloé Kardashian and centered on the powerful women in her inner circle.

The announcement was made during Hulu’s Get Real event in Beverly Hills, signaling that Hulu, which is owned by Disney, sees potential beyond “The Kardashians,” which is already heading into Season 8.

Followers of the franchise know that “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” built the empire, but “The Girls” is reportedly designed to expand it even further, but not while focusing on the Kardashian-Jenner family, but the supporting cast members.

The show follows Kim, Kylie, and Khloé’s longtime friends, including Natalie Halcro, Khadijah Haqq, Malika Haqq, Yris Palmer, Olivia Pierson, and Nicole Williams English as they balance motherhood, business ambitions, friendship drama, and luxury lifestyles.

Hulu is expanding the Kardashian universe with Khloé Kardashian’s new reality series The Girls, a friendship-driven spinoff that signals bigger franchise ambitions beyond The Kardashians.

According to Hulu’s description, the series leans into “chaos is couture” energy, mixing “brutally honest group chats, glam escapes, surprise engagements, and solo-parenting storylines. It is positioned as friendship-first reality television with the glossy, high-stakes formula viewers expect from the Kardashian brand.”

‘The Girls’ Could Be Hulu’s Next Reality TV Hit

This might be bigger than another celebrity spinoff. Hulu appears to be building a Kardashian universe, similar to how prestige dramas spin off into interconnected worlds. “The Girls” still have the Kardashian stamp, but with fresh personalities.

It also taps into the proven formula of having an ensemble featuring female friendship while merging aspirational lifestyle content with emotional stakes, as they did with “The Secret Life of The Mormon Wives.”

“The Girls” is expected to be a project built for social conversation and binge viewing.

Khloé Kardashian serves as executive producer, with Bunim/Murray Productions returning to the fold. That is notable because the company produced “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” during its 20-season run on E!

In addition, Julie Pizzi executive produces for Bunim/Murray Productions alongside Farnaz Farjam, Nicole Blais, and Lauren Goldstein.

Another Show in the Works

“The Girls” is not the only Kardashian expansion in development. In 2025, Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick revealed plans for another Hulu reality project, “Calabasas: Behind The Gates.” That series remains in development, according to reports by Deadline, and is being produced by Fulwell Entertainment, which also produces “The Kardashians.”

The publication informed that the show reportedly explores life inside the gated communities of Calabasas, the wealthy enclave forever linked to the Kardashian brand.

In the meantime, “The Kardashians” remain one of streaming’s strongest reality brands, offering built-in audience loyalty, social media amplification, and international recognition. The Kardashian machine also operates like a multiplatform business spanning beauty, fashion, wellness, and consumer products.

“The Girls” could not only attract viewers but also potential clients for upcoming brands.

So business with the Kardashians is only getting bigger, and “The Girls” may be the next major piece of that empire.
