The awaited prequel series for "The Terminal List" has arrived. "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf" just hosted its New York City premiere, with Chris Pratt and Luke Hemsworth, two of the series' stars, speaking about the making of the series and the brotherhood that they built on set.
The series' first season followed Pratt's character, a NAVY seal named James Reece, who returns home plagued by traumatic memories of his platoon being ambushed on a covert mission. "Dark Wolf" also features Pratt, but is set seven years in the past, focusing on Taylor Kitsch's character, named Ben Edwards.
In an interview with HOLA!, Pratt opened up about the series' hair and makeup department, tasked with making the series cast look seven years younger.
"Incredible make-up artists," he said. "The make-up and hair team tried to cultivate a look that would be believably seven years younger than I was in season one."
On the show's element of brotherhood
Pratt also discussed the work of the veterans who are involved in the series, adding a layer of realism that's necessary for a series that explores the real-life trauma that some of these veterans go through.
"These are real human beings that we're trying to portray. We're not trying to make them supermen; we're not trying to make them infallible. They hurt, physically, emotionally, mentally."
Pratt is one of the series producers and revealed that the team had three Navy SEALS as advisors. "If nothing passes your sniff test, we won't put it on the show," he said.
"I have some pretty brothers."
Luke Hemsworth, who also stars in the series, discussed the topic of brotherhood. "I have some pretty brothers," he joked, referring to Chris and Liam Hemsworth.
"Brotherhood is such a great part of this show. We're very lucky that we all have such a wonderful brotherhood off-screen as well. We're in Budapest for six months, and we don't speak the language. You're forced to spend all of this time with each other. If you don't like each other, it can be pretty tedious. We're very fortunate that these guys are all incredible men."
"The Terminal List: Dark Wolf" premieres on Prime Video on August 27th.
