Denmark's Victoria Kjær Theilvig made history on Saturday as she was crowned Miss Universe 2024 at the Arena Ciudad de México. Besting nearly 125 contestants (down from 130 due to withdrawals and disqualifications) from around the globe, Kjær wowed the judges and audience with her charisma, intelligence, and impeccable communication skills to win the coveted "Light of Infinity" crown at the 73rd edition of the world's most prestigious beauty pageant.

A Crown Fit for a Queen  

The highlight of the evening was the ceremonial crowning moment. Outgoing titleholder Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua passed on the new queen's 18-carat gold crown encrusted with diamonds and 23 golden pearls. The crown, valued at $5.3 million, symbolizes elegance and empowerment, perfectly complementing Kjær's radiant personality.

Thrilling Competition and Final Five  

The Miss Universe competition featured 125 participants, gradually narrowing down through intense elimination rounds to a final five. Ultimately, Kjær's poise and persuasive speaking set her apart, making her the judges' unanimous choice.

Rewards and Responsibilities  

As the new Miss Universe, Kjær will embark on a year-long journey representing the organization globally. Along with her prestigious title, she receives:  

  • A $250,000 cash prize  
  • A $50,000 monthly salary during her reign, as reported by EFE 
  • The opportunity to champion charitable causes and promote international initiatives  
  •  All expenses paid for trips in private jets
  • The reigning queen also lives for a year in the organization's luxurious apartment in New York City.
  • Will host Miss Universe's upcoming YouTube traveling show
  • A luxurious watch

On Saturday, November 16, the vibrant Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico, served as the stage for a momentous event in beauty pageants. Sheynnis Alondra Palacios Cornejo welcomed Miss Denmark and Victoria Kjær Theilvig into the illustrious Miss Universe family during this spectacular evening.

Victoria is not just a striking beauty; she is a multifaceted individual with a rich European and World Championship dancer background. Her stage presence captivated the judges and the audience, showcasing her exceptional talent. Beyond her accomplishments in dance, she is also a passionate beauty entrepreneur, using her platform to promote self-confidence and empowerment among women.

Aspiring to become a lawyer, she demonstrates a deep commitment to justice and social issues, showcasing her ambitions as expansive as her talents.
